  • These tarantulas bites suck!!!!!! Lol if ur a beginner tarantula keeper stay away from ANY ornamentals... Go with a more calm and docile new world species... Tarantulas are amazing tho
  • Great video and info, thanks ^.^Also, great marketing/advertising.It's an educational video with a twist of an infomercial.Only suggestion: more rehearsals, this is like a how-to-cook show on Food Network, more rehearsals equal less time rambling.
  • I think these spiders are so cool and I really want one, but I'm also terrified of spiders. #thestruggleisreal
  • A tarantula enclosure needn't cost much (if anything) more than the enclosure, and can still be made to look 100 times better and actually provide a far better habitat than that of the enclosure in this video. While there is some reasonably good advice in this video, it is mixed in with some questionable advice. Also, I must admit to feeling slightly sickened by all the subtitles pointing towards where to buy all the "necessary" equipment sold by those making the video. It will make new keepers believe they "need" things they simply don't, purely because an "expert" from the pet trade is telling them this. If those who made the video genuinely don't know any better, then I would suggest doing some contemporary research with highly experienced tarantula keepers before creating these videos. If you do know better, then it's a bit of an unfair scam on newcomers.... I'm not trying to be nasty, I just think it's a shame :-(
  • RIP to any headphone users who watched this on full volume
  • A good majority of people that I know in the tarantula hobby have told me that using heat pads/packs/maps is a bad idea and that you should just have your t. room set to the right temperature. Can you clarify some of this for me? Because I'm confused.
  • Hi thereI have an Indian Ornamental and I want to rehouse her, but I don't know how to remove her from her old enclosure? Any videos on this?
  • Oh ok, thanks. What about the heat pads? Is their any way to control the heat? Like they should of made them so u can set what temp u want? Like i use heat pads for my snakes and i have to use lots of bark for some parts cuz its really hot
  • I thought tarantulas dont need heat? Just room temp?
  • Depending on what part of the country it was obtained from, that papa johns species is just as poisonous and scary as this T in the video...lol. jk. :-) Nice video!!! I have a Heteroscodra maculata that I would love to place in an enclosure like this! Thanks for the ideas! :-)
  • Is a Mexican red haired tarantula arborealWhat kind is it
  • can you do avideo of a scorpeon setup just you not like the workshop please
  • My rose hair webbed up every thing
  • are the large dubia roaches adults and how many males and female come in the container?
  • Great vid Jen thanks
  • What that's a juvenile. OMG
  • Wait Jen, how many animals do you have? Haha. Everytime you do a video you talk about yours!
  • if you are looking for a tarantula who is a big time webber go with these: Green Bottle blue, P. murinus, C. Marshalli & H. Maculata
  • I would remove your bluetongue from your bearded dragons, for several reasons. The lizards can stress each other out even without you seeing it, they can fight for hiding spots and food despite how much you give them, and you cannot keep an eye on them at all hours of the day. Its not guaranteed that they will or won't get along, but you are taking the risk of having animals kill each other even with you thinking they won't.
  • 13:08 Papa John's!
  • I might get one after I get some experience with a Red Knee and Pink Toe.
  • Hi Jen. I know it's not the right video to post this, but I need to get answer before tomorrow :) .. Right now i got 2 normal leopard geckos in a 20 gallon tank. I've seen a beautifull albino leopard gecko in my town, but I have to decide wether i want it or not by tomorrow. So my question is, can I have all three leopard geckos together? They got plenty of space to walk and 3 big caves to hide in. The geckos i have now is 4 month old and the albino is around 1 ½ month old i think :-)
  • can y'all do a pink toe spider setup video.
  • Not your typical starter tarantula. My first was an Usumbara Orange Baboon, often referred to as an "orange bitey thing".
  • if you mist the cage, water bowl is optional
  • You should do one of these videos for B.Smithi
  • I wish I have a local lllreptile here at milpitas n San Jose
  • I've cared for several hundred over the last few years, and heat mats are just fine when used on a dimmer or thermostat.
  • They got papa johns
  • my T's live in a room that is controlled with a high grade humidifier &space heater, which ultimately creates similar climates from their natural habitats. Hot spot free & healthy happy tarantulas. 87 eggsacs & counting here, Cheers.
  • That thing is huge
  • As long as they are close to the same size, and you only have 1 male in the group.
  • Setup red eared slider setup please :) I really want one please
  • great video
  • you dont need to worry about the hights for arboreal tarantulas hight is important for arboreals
  • Because healthy, well established blue tongues will often fight with each other, regardless of gender. They also require plenty of space, and most keepers are not equipped to provide a room sized cage that would enable them to mix species. Blue tongues will also eat creatures smaller than themselves, or may bully similar sized reptiles. It's less stressful for them if they just have their own cage to themselves.
  • Are they poisonous? How dangerous are they?
  • As I mentioned yesterday I am new to owning my tarantula and what I wrote was a lot of what I have read in my research. As for the thermostat I was told by a few owners to have the thermostat on the other side of the tank so I can be able to monitor the entire tank not the heat that's being thrown out in the one area, that being said it's a little difficult believing what you are saying when you didn't even add a dish of fresh water for the tarantula to drink? I don't understand that one, sorry
  • I stopped by this store yesterday and saw this exact tank!!! It looked really nice and the spider ended up making its web behind the cork flat. Good job Jen!!! - John L.
  • Wanna hold hands some time?
  • Heat packs and special heating are very dangerous to tarantulas. Tarantulas do not sence hot or cold areas until it is too late.
  • Cool video, you should do a red tailed set up next. Or a Brazilian rainbow.
  • We did!
  • The spider is not going to have trouble in a tank this size - a full grown adult is going to fill the cage. I have never experienced any problems with the heat pads on the side of the tank, and my ornamentals at home happily rest near the pads. Why wouldn't you hook up a thermostat directly to a heat pad? How else would you control the temperature of the pad? I don't understand that one, sorry.
  • so the pink toe is less massy than the rose
  • You should also offer a water dish.
  • Don't use heat mates I have tarantula about 15 or 16 so don't use heat mats
  • hey i just watch youre vid about blue tong skinks and i thought i had more change on a anwser on this vid cause its youre latest so heres the question i have a terrarium with a blue tong and 2 beardies they go together well but how come people say its not smart to put blue tongs with other reptiles and ive it is so why havent thet fought yet srry fir bed english im from holland-eu
