  • beautiful
  • i bought a red knee today :D
  • THIS IS MY SWAMP
  • not straight away unless it gets into your eyes or mouth or nostrils. but to the skin, it wont affect you straight away but it usually starts to itch like hell when you are trying to get asleep at night
  • I love your little buddy. His coloration is very beautiful. He appears very friendly. He doesn't seem to go into a threat posture when you intereact with him. A very cute little guy. By chance, is the music from this vid from the Original Resident Evil?
  • shit dude if i did that with my LP now she would be tearing my hand apart like its a roach lol she was nice untill she figured out she can totally fuckshit up
  • yeah she has one of them log hides but i took it out when i made this video, tbh hardl any of my tarantulas hide under the hide anymore they like to sit on top of their hide
  • this spiders are not dagerus its not more than a simple bite
  • Wow. . . Why do you try to hold this thing? it kicked hairs 2 times and almost did a 3rd just getting it out of the cage and then went into the thread pose 2 times where he really looked pissed off, You seem like the person that would also like to hold an OBT or a cobalt blue, I wish you the best of luck with your tarantulas and hope you dont injure any of the poor little guys. but i think a lesson or two could be learned by a bite or some annoying hairs. Any justification?
  • but do u know which part of the mansion ur in when this song plays?
  • no place to hide for your brachypelma in her terrarium ?? mine dig 10 inch long tunnel in her residenthall ;)
  • no scottbren dogs are not pets they are family members, these are what you call exotic pets and exotic pets include snakes lizards tortoises etc, 90 percent of humans are arachnophobists but why should they assume that tarantulas should be stepped on when they are harmless
  • The pedipalps are so large though... Usually that indicates a male spider.
  • aw, what a beauty
  • lol it is :D
  • he's so cute! I want also one, but my parents don't like the idea to much :-( i have a several smaller spiders,..that's it.
  • First off, Mex Reds tend to be pretty docile. It's the main reason they are the most popular turantula on the pet trade (that and their vibrant coloring). Second, most turantulas will go into a threat posture when alarmed. Especially the more calmer speices. Unless you do something that really startles them (accidentally knocking your hand into it, grabbing at it too fast) they tend to give you plenty of warning signs that they do not wish to be handled. Usually, you know it when it's ticked off
  • this tarantula franklin1337 is probably the friendliest one of the bunch. shes never striked at me, shes never done a threat pose (what you thought you see as a threat pose you are mistaken) and belive me if you was to see an actual threat pose from a tarantula you wouldnt be mistaken again) she kicks hairs now and then but this is just a quick reaction from this species as they all do it. as you can see she let me handle her perfectly.
  • 20 if shes female lol males dnt live any longer than ten years after full maturity
  • i wish i had one, then i would let it roam free in my garden leting it eat all the anoying wasps muahahaaaaa!>=)
  • can you eat them?
  • loving the resident evil music!
  • A-W-E-S-O-M-E
  • Gonna By A B.smithi Today ^^ :D
  • haha lots of people are scared of spiders, but the big hairy tarantulas cannot kill you, it is the tiny spiders like the black widow and the funnel web you have to watch out for them ones can kill you lol
  • Yeah, From my limited knowledge on spiders, Mexican Red Knees are excellent beginner spiders for there colors and nature. Im off today to buy one at Orlandos Repticon to have it sit on my shoulder while I play my Xbox360
  • so cute
  • my tiny is better than all of yours it bit me twice and i tried feeding it a small bird but he doesnt like it
  • how do you handle it so it dosnt bite you?
  • hair flicking is not aggression its just an automatic defence reflex with this species. it may look like its being poked really hard in the video but infact i was only touching it gentley but the way it reacted each time it was touched made it look that way. im also raising a baby red knee.
  • so that she does something for the camera instead of just sitting there like a statue
  • ill answer this one for you as i own one as well, so should be the same answer. a brachypelma smithi - or mexican red knee, is a very docile species. there rarly bite, just occasionaly flick hairs. as long as ur calm and gentle, this species should never really bit you. if its reared up on its legs, showing of its fangs... thats when you dont hold it, as its in threat posture. and they can be fed crickets, locusts, pinky mice, cockroaches... all sorts. hope that helps
  • hey nice tartula i got one myself and its a rose haired ^^
  • only ppl with arachnophobia have problems thisweirdguy lol
  • all tarantulas are venomous but not human deadly
  • the mexican redknee tarantulas knees consist of a mixture of reds oranges and yellows
  • thats so cuteee...i want to poke its ass too!
  • I can't figure out why there's creepy music? That's a really cute tarantula. Not that I dislike the music, but it seems kind of like, say, putting silent hill music on a video of a kitten. XD
  • fuck you arsehole this video was made in 2007 lol
  • the only spider i find cute
  • jorlz36181, if you are scared of spiders why even search for them on youtube? your arrogance will get you no where, and why should i step on my pet spider just because someone finds it intimidaitng, its totally mind over matter,
  • The music you've used for this... is it from Total Annihilation?
  • Oooh cool, your gonna have that tarantula living with you for more then 20+ years if you take good care of him/her.
  • why are you touchin' its butt?
  • I think most tarantulas are pretty damn cute, honestly, even if they're not brightly colored. And yeah, lots of people are creeped out by them, I just don't see it personally. B. smithi is one of my favorites in terms of appearance. They're classic. =D Anyway, yours looks great, and I'm jealous. I can't keep a tarantula currently...house has been sprayed with pesticides recently, and I live with somebody who's absolutely terrified of all spiders. Someday I'll have one (or more) though. =D
  • no its a resident evil soundtrack
  • so your T sits there and starts flicking urticating hairs at you... so you carry on prodding it.... thats a real stupid thing to be doing... Certainly not what i`d be doing with my T`s. :-( but she`s a lovely looking T, shame she`s being prodded & poked to the point of aggressiveness
  • don't know why my last post came up twice?!?!?!?... you should see the colours when they molt, fantastic.... make sure you warm your shoulder up befor you place him there, just so he gets comfortable and no sudden movements and drafts....
