  • Its time for a 2014 feeding vids I like to see your king baboon go apeshit on its meal lol
  • What's the largest baboon spider then
  • hey jon its been a while, do you know any good breeders in the us ?
  • I have Arabic fobeya still have a fashination beautiful tarantula the King Baboon I want one as a pet itbe my 1st tarantula iI'll never hold any of them they do bite still cool to care for them
  • Typo aracknid
  • And PS1 hooked to TV :D :D
  • dat ps1
  • what do u mean by they dont have hind legs i see all 8
  • ya :( I put her in an icu and she never recovered. I have replaced her with a 3/4 inch sling and paying more close attention to her.
  • @Mantisman630 Yes, it's just luck. Some make it, some don't...but in captivity, we can save the males. And it's natural temperature conditions in the wild that can generally affect the mood of the female.
  • i often mistook KB to Kilimanjaro baboon
  • Curious, why do Turantulas cost so much? To me they're just Spiders (Not high respect for them as you do, so i cant understand them)
  • Hav you done a p. Metallica MB yet?
  • Fantastic video as always jon i hope one day you will do one on the Pamphobeteus Platyomma as i have just got a juvenile and would like to know more on this specimen as there isnt much on this spider on the net
  • @ultum4tegunz they're pet holes bro...All terrestrial old worlds are typically pet holes man. Buy one and find out, they're NOT that expensive
  • its up to you...It will take a few years before is breedable
  • @Jon3800 k just hope I dotn get a male, females love to kill them for some reason. Most breeders probably do a bad job of copying there wild habitats they must have a way higher breeding rate in the wild. a 2" sling is only $45 bucks on swifts so good deal
  • i needz to buy one on these ts
  • Where is this gal now? Haven't seen her in a while. I just bought a sling and will get it on Tuesday.
  • @Jon3800 yeah cant skip the Old world terretrials just for that reason.. do they grow slower then B Smithi?? lol my B smithi's both grow very slow!!!! All my TS are New worlders except Pokies lol
  • great vid, great t :D
  • @ultum4tegunz Umm, not sure if you watched the whole video...it takes 10 years for a 1/2 inch KB to reach full size versus 5-7 years. I've bought and raised Scarlet as 2'' and now she is 5+'' (near full grown)
  • @padmdhs there will be one soon.
  • @yannithetarantula8 its probably a gigas.. take pics please
  • I've also heard the king baboon called the "Bushy Leg Baboon" by a few people.
  • @ultum4tegunz From what I understand they're pet holes but do wander about at night sometimes. I never got one but they are pretty big and really mean. They hiss though. That's cool.
  • @gecko091 the thick hind legs. In the pictures, the mature male loses them, the mature female keeps them
  • @thehat222 did you buy one?? how good are king baboons ?are they very cool or just pet holes? lol
  • hiya, as in she dehydrated?
  • The spider formerly known as Prince.
  • Love the Baboons!
  • I just got my first one along with a cyclosternum sp. Malcha i think is how you spell it
  • all the best! i have 2 slings coming in the next week or so, so atleast good things can come from your sad loss
  • Hey I know you're in Canada but I thought I 'd tell you Swift's Inverts has 2" King Baboon's for $45(USD). I know our prices are lower and are currency is less too. Dunno what that translates to though.
  • Great video :) We've just ordered a 6 to 8cm King Baboon so this was very informative. My main worry is about transferring it but I'll just be very careful. Chris :)
  • Hey Jon, just a curious question, if tarantulas are so hard to mate in captivity, how exactly is it guaranteed that they successfully mate in the wild? Is it just luck?
  • oh no! what was the cause of death?
  • I can't wait to add one of these to my collection. It is the king of tarantulas after all or should that be queen? lol
  • Jon, i found a guy selling a 2 inch female (not legspan, bodylenght). Do you suggest me buying her and breed her in future?
  • wooo great vid jon! i almost got a hold on a h.hercules but someone bought it before me :( it was very cheap for an h. hercules. and oh by the way how fast do hysterocrates sp. grow?
  • @yannithetarantula8 they grow pretty quickly. A lot faster than the KB
  • @Jon3800 kl thanks Jon :)
  • She died early March 2012.
  • the substrate got too dry :(
  • Awesome vid! I have a three incher that has only molted once in almost two years! Found a seven inch female for $150 at Paul with pet center USA! Figured I would jump on it lol!
