What a wonderfully amoral culture. It really reflects the hypocrisy of the west to condemn these practices and yet commit to slaughter millions of animals with much more complex nervous systems than a fish and in the most inhumane conditions. We have completely distanced ourselves from the fact that the meat that we eat was once living by shaping the meat and producing food that has no connection the biological reality of the source. Thus allowing us completely blissful ignorance of all pain and suffering endured by the living creature. To me, star-shaped chicken nuggets are equivalent to the horror seen above.
