  • I loved your little joke re: Robc! I can't wait till my GBB grows up, but with every molt he grows exponentially! One thing I am worried about, he /she is very much like a "pet rock", but when I first got him/her it was very active. strange. Maybe it was because I put it in a larger cage than it really needed, it only live in one small corner of it. I was really fascinated by his behaviors when he was in his small cage, he made a web "fence", cornering off his territory, balled up all the moss and lassoed it up into a web, all his boluses, waste, etc, went outside the fence! All this stopped when I rehoused him in the larger cage. I guess he was overwhelmed. I hoped the larger cage would make him grow larger, sort of like a fish, any truth to that? I doubt it.
  • All the chirping of the crickets. why don't people just use locusts? They don't chirp or smell.
  • Any symptoms from your bite? Never been wacked by an avic. 2 pokie bites 1 was dry got hit by obt and 3 inch king b but thats it so far.
  • Would be a good idea to make her a shelter. Well, if that is her permanent enclosure.
  • My other account messed up! But I hope my T molts her fang out Dx
  • where do you live reason I ask is I want one tarantula from your collection and how much would it cost?
  • My other channel is all messed up YouTube kinda sucks anyways I just hope she eats and molts her fang out.
  • Hey Marita, Just Curious do you know where I can buy one?
  • where do you get your spiders other than petco or pet smart (if you live in the US)? I live in california and i cant find anyone that sells tarantulas other than those two places.

  • Ok thanks
  • Thank you!!!
  • cool vids...subbed :)
  • she look so hot...
  • Aside from a large abdomen..what are other indications that a female gbb is gravid? I have one that is 45 days since she has been mated and now she has webbed up the entrance to her hide and she's hiding inside. You previously told me that she might molt but I am hoping to get a sac instead. lol
  • If I have one of those in the same temp. As a mexican red knee tarantula would it die or have any problems if I keep temps tires any ware from 70-85 degrees?
  • No problem. Thanks for watching...
  • hey, ive had my gbb for 3 days now, and ive noticed every night she trys webbing up her tank, she climbs a certain spot over and over and falls off the side of the tank, 30-60cm high, the tank is quiet high and im really worried shes going to kill herself, shall i get a smaller tank? video on my channel if you can check it out and give me some advice, id be very greatful, thanks
  • *if I keep temp. Any ware around 70-85

  • Hi Marita! i'ts me again. I have a pair of adult gbbs and my male has freshly molted and he now has his tibial hooks and i'm thinking of breeding them... Any tips on breeding GBBs? :-)
  • Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! -Marita
  • I answered your question in a vid and it's in production now! I give you a little shout out! ;) -DTG
  • girl do u had a facebook?
  • 70-85 degrees is perfect for this species as well as the Mexican Red Knee, Brachypelma smithi. One rule of thumb about all animals in general is if the temp is tolerable for you, the animal should do fine. Some animals will need more or less heat in one part of their enclosure, but both the smithi and cyaneopubescens should thrive at temp ranging from 70-85. The GBB will be able to breed and produce a sack at this temp, the smithi will need a cooling period if you want to stimulate the female
  • Thanks, Frankie! -Marita
  • My GBB's a hell of a hair flicker...it got me one time in my eyes and they bulged like jello....nasty. lol
  • Yeah I would probably be pissed with you too if you kept poking me with a some feeding tweezers
  • Hi..looking forward to the new GBB video....you rock! :-)
  • Great Video Mari!!
  • Hello! Are you asking if I will post a feeding vid? I know there have been feeding in a couple of my vids. I don't remember which, exactly but I do plan to do a video on feeding. Just tell me what you are hoping for and I will do my best to film what I can. -Marita
  • The colors didn't show in this vid like I was hoping but were experimenting with different lighting techniques each time.
  • Old schoolers like me call them "bugs". I am not an arachnologist, just a keeper:)
  • Make sure he has made a sperm web before introducing him to the female. Shark tank him (you can see one on my first OBT breed video), and watch him and and her and see if both of them jerk and tap. If they do, take the top off the shark tank and watch. Chances are if she attacks him, there will be nothing you can do, but if she was jerking and tapping too, she will be receptive. Are you here in the US? If you are, when you are done with him please consider loaning him, I need a male:)
  • OMG! I don't envy you! I have very sensitive eyes!!! Wow!
  • I see. I am so sorry Marita....I am from the Philippines.... thanks for the quick response. I really appreciate all the help i can get. I hope my male survives. lol
