  • Great video. You seem like a cool dude as well.
  • beautiful spider!
  • Darn lovely video!
  • She's beautiful! I just finished a few breeding sessions with my pair. My poor male is getting ready to "retire", so I'm spending as much quality time with him as I can. Going outside with him in a few... I loved this video!
  • My curly is still a little sling. From the size of the abdomen I'm guessing I have a female. I can't wait till she gets bigger!
  • hey Bob sir my friend would like to know what song you used
  • Nice!
  • Haired ^^^^ Iv git a female columbian curly. Was buzzing 20 yr pos
  • For slings you cannot tell their sex by their abdomen- until they mature, abdomen size for both sexes is based on the amount of food given

  • is it ok to feed a housefly to my curly hair sling???its my first time to have a T as my pet...
  • Bob is a she bud congrats :)
  • How lovely
  • Yes, your chilean rose is probably in a pre-molt condition. I just bought about five crickets for my Curlyhair, and she too is going to molt, which I didn't know, at the time, but has refused to eat (which is not like her). She moves quickly and accurately when food is presented to her every 3rd or 4th day. She hasn't eaten now in two weeks. I will let the crickets go outside as they will die b/4 she is hungry again!
  • @jaycymru just hide it somewhere lol :)
  • You might want to check out my video, "Spider Class 101: A Look Inside a Tarantula" in which I share one way of sexing a T.
  • @jaycymru - To each their own Jay! To be honest, most people HATE spiders! So your wife, like mine, fits in with the majority of the populace! It just is what it is!!! : ) Bob
  • I have just bought one of these today, but it's only a sling :-)
  • Really nice video!
  • @JohnOliver - Hi John, thanks for watching, and she is really a gentle T. I don't remember where you live but there's always next spring/summer to get your golden orbs or garden spiders back! Bob
  • Thanks, no problem with the grass and she doesn't get out much. Thought she would enjoy some natural warmth and humidity being the Honduran variety of a T. She wasn't out long and I appreciate your concern and tips! Bob
  • @shooting4fun - OUCH...so sorry to hear that! Bob
  • Thanks, I really don't handle my HCH much either. Just once in a great while as I let her explore more than her smaller confines. She seems to like it and so do I. She is getting ready to molt again and hasn't had anything to eat now for four weeks. Should molt at any time. Bob
  • Something I've been wondering - If a tarantula sits somewhere for several hours, will it rest it's body on the ground, or will it keep hovering, with only its legs touching the ground?
  • She is a beautiful specimen. How is she doing these days? Mine, named "Bed Head", is ding beautifully, a young juvie at 2.75 inches. She is also very gentle.
  • Plz keep making videos I love them
  • Haha, you are doing what I love to do! No she won't mind one bit, especially if she gets a meal out of the deal! This spider can produce up to 60 feet of webbing per night if needed. She will clean her web as often as she thinks it is necessary. You're a good do-be! lol
  • i feel like it's on me...
  • @SANCHEZCARDENAS6309 - Thank you so much! Best wishes and warm hugs to you and your family as well my good friend! Bob
  • ver nice video.........
  • I just ordered a P. Metallica sling and I'm getting a Curly Hair sling for free with it. I can't wait for them!
  • @aenigmatica8 - LOL!!! The leash thing would definately be something you would enjoy and the spider would hate! Yes, my T (a she) is not hurting in the eating department; she has aggresive eating habits! I try hard not to feed her more than she needs, and I try to follow the same eating diet for myself! : ) Bob
  • Congrats! Bob
  • Thank you for sharing your story about your grandfather with me!
  • i have a curlyhair and he is amazing, although i do not know how to sex it, any ideas?
  • Great! What is your favorite kind of spider to hunt? Bob
  • I have been able to draw a perfict spider since 1st grade
  • bob what has most favorite tarantula m favorite green bottle blue
  • @jaycymru - Hey thanks! Was checking out your Betta gobbling up the live food. I never gave mine live food...shouild have; nice way to see them in action! My wife hates spiders too, and it is only her love for me that allows me to keep the "T" in our compluter room in an aquarium with my latest catch, a Michigan Grey tree frog. She HATES spiders and has yet to watch any of my 65+ videos! LOL Bob
  • Does some tarantula bites?
  • Nice, you'll get to enjoy it's getting bigger and all the little quirks your spider will have; plus all the molting adventures it will go through. Enjoy!
  • i Love your Videos Bob
  • Lovely spider just brought one 2 hours ago
  • Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. I'm sure your curlyhair appreciates being left alone as much as possible. Mine seems to enjoy some interaction and I find her to be fairly intelligent for a spider. She always surprizes me with new things and behaviors! Take care and guten tag! Bob
  • Another great video!
  • @Kaminix - Yes those "curly" wavey hairs do have a way to catch the light and give them a warm glow! I have heard this tarantula has been described as just having come out of a shower and had it's hair blown dry! LOL Bob
  • She's a keeper. Bet you didn't see any of these guys though!
  • Pretty, are the curly hairs burrowers or active hunters? Just wondering another great vid and happy soon to be new year!
