These are very ill tempered and dangerous little snakes. I wouldn't have expected a giant spider to be a rival.

I dunno...I feel as if this might not be 100% legit(possibly staged by film crew). I just find it very unlikely that the snake didn't get at least one bite off on the spider.The fer-de-lance is an extremely fast striking snake and has senses that are far superior to that of the tarantula...not to mention its venom is extremely potent and would kill the tarantula in a matter of minutes.
