  • I have to admit, I liked that last one (the spider you say you caught in your bedroom). That cricket got itself free of the web, and then the spider's chasing it like, "Come back here, you little fucker! HA! Gotcha!"
  • 6:22 that cricket realized its fucked
  • Now I am sure it depends on the spider but in general, what are the odds of being bit by a tarantula? Say I happened to come across one in the wild should I avoid it at all costs or just got around it or what? Sorry but Spiders terrify me although I find them very interesting.
  • Hi John, I wanted to ask if you know how to control the smell of crickets? It is gross, and my family doesn't much like it. I don't think it's the T's! Also, what do you feed smaller T's, I have a Aboreal Versicolor, about 1" nearly, and I'm afraid, because he won't eat pinhead crickets, I was feeding fruit flies, which were working, is that ok?
  • I'm pretty sure that tarantulas are small enough to not pose a huge threat to humans, but I've never owned one before and don't know much about them. How often do you handle them (as in holding them, touching them), and if/when you do, do you need any sort of protection? Have any of your tarantulas ever bitten you?
  • love your vids man! theyre awesome. you have a new sub =)
  • Normally I'm really afraid of spiders, but the way you act so calm around them made me realize that they are actually pretty interesting
  • i want to keep spiders but can i ask 2 things1 with a water bowl for them how deep should the water be2 are there any spiders that can live in cold climets like mongolia

  • can you help i got a new chillie rose and she does not want any food am i doing something wrong
  • So I went from guilty dog videos to tarantula feeding videos... well played youtube
  • omg why did i click on this!? IM TERRIFIED OF SPIDERS
  • I've made a couple of videos about good beginner species.. but species like Brachypelma smithi (Mexican Red Knee), Brachypelma albopilosum (Curly Hair), Brachypelma emilia (Mexican Painted Red leg), Eupalaestrus campestratus (Pink Zebra Beauty) and Adults of Avicularia avicularia (Pinktoe) make perfect species for beginners.
  • i will never own a spider, but i always find spider amazing. ( im not affraid of them but i dont like when they get on me or close to me )
  • Jon will you be getting or have you now got a Pteronopelma Samizai? If you have could we see it?
  • Some breeds will flick their hairs at you, as a defense mechanism; it's meant to be quite itchy and uncomfortable, but only for a short period. Anti-histamines help, main thing isn't to spook your T's and you should only get this rarely. Search youtube for 'tarantula flicking hairs' to see a video.
  • 18/110 are full grown. The rest are spiderlings, juveniles and subadults
  • Just out of curiosity, how many full-grown spiders do you own?
  • (i mean your "local spider")
  • I hate spiders!!! They run up my walls along with the centipedes. But I have to say you have some of the most beautiful tarantulas (spiders?) I have ever seen. I couldn't bare living with just one!!! I like the blue one.
  • can i ask jon, how do you heat them? especially living in cold canada? brill vid again
  • I do but very rarely.
  • she made the burrow herself. I made her a small hole and she did the rest
  • I LOVE you're spiders dude! Keep up the good work I love watching your videos.
  • 1) The overall experience of enjoying them 2) Doing research and making youtube videos and giving information that is not readily available on the internet 3) To breed and sell the offspring
  • I go through 200 a month
  • Its up to you. As you've seen later installments of this series (I'm currently up to 95)...I use superworms/crickets. It all depends on your specimen. G.rosea are known to be picky eaters. I would buy 1-2 worms and she if she likes it I've never and will never feed any of my Ts rodents..not even pre-killed pinkies. Yes, they contain too much calcium, and it's something that Ts has trouble digesting. Feeding too many results in a bad molt, which can be fatal.
  • voçe me vende uma tarantula e o terrario por quanto
  • I'm not offended, just found it odd you would say that. Lot of people love their tarantulas in their own special ways, and they are truly beautiful animals.
  • Jon did you know this video is the top Google hit for "Tarantula feeding video"?
  • God i cant stop watching your video's!! They are addictive, seriously. Normally smaller spiders tend to scare me a bit - i know its silly i shouldnt be >.<. But your tarantula's amaze me!! I have spent nearly a whole afternoon going from each of your video's! :) i really like the Green Bottle Blue :D it is pretty!! a spider fashion icon haha :D Oh and your laugh is really cute! Like a little chuckle ^.^

  • 1) Never fed one nor will I ever do 2) Out of these 57 only 4 are handleable 3) Yes. I am STILL posting videos...if you check my most recent feeding video..I have nearly doubled since this video 4) Poecilotheria species.
  • That was awesome
  • Do you breed most of these or buy them?
  • How large are your chaco slings? they already have great colors.
  • really? that's cool
  • yes, plenty
  • yes of course. Everyone will get haired someday
  • you shouldn't feed them mice and any insects you find outside...they might contain parasites.
  • ok thanks i appreciate it and what would you say a mexican fireleg tarantula is for more experienced people with tarantulas?
