  • Pretty calm for a muticus, just watch out on the substrate, too wet, it's a desert species likes it bone dry.I know how it can be a real pain in the ass to transfer this species, they just want to bite, not to go where they're supposed to go...Planning on breeding too :)
  • looks like a male, don't quote me though
  • Next time try to transfer with a cup with lid.Great video and T :)
  • It seems to have possibly been in its premolt phase. How soon did it molt after this?
  • aggressive is not a bad world
  • i have always wanted to ask you this? why do you talk like that? as in why do you suppress your voice to make it so low? i enjoy watching your videos & your spiders. but more than half the time, i can not make out what you're saying. i am hard at hearing & i believe i am not your only fan who are also hard at hearing. sometimes, i wonder whether you're on the witness protection program trying to keep people from identifying you. sometimes, i wonder if you're making these videos at night & didnt want to wake up your wife or even the baby. yes, i do turn on the volume. but when you suppress your voice, all i hear is a drumming vibration & a few words, here & there.
  • the spider was following you at the end. i think it was stalking you. it wanted you dead. i wanna see her eat a cricket.
  • You sound like you really care for this animal. I respect that!
  • Superb vid as usual. I'd love one eventually...
  • Shes about 6 inch and yep I have a dubia colony that is exploding its for my T's and Beardies
  • thanks mate! I appreciate!
  • Thanks appreciate the info I just subscribed to your channel will check out your vids :)
  • woow! esta muy hermosa!
  • Yep shes on dubia now I have a large colony myself.
  • Yours is bigger than mine lol. Mine is only 3+ inches still a juvenile. Rose hairs are an awesome sight to behold or even handle when fully grown but, too bad not all rose hairs are very nice since each tarantula regardless of the specie got their own distinct personalities. Ever heard or seen an evil rose hair??
  • Yep as long as shes comfortable they usually do not climb
  • grumpy baby! haha great video!
  • These guys will definately do it lol, they do not like to be bothered
  • I've always wanted a king baboon tere just so darn expensive unless you buy a sling but I hear they grow slower than rose hairs btw are they a fast species I know they will not be close to an obt but how fast are they
  • Hey man id say the possible female is 4 inch pretty plump, and possible male is about 3 inch
  • Thanks!! This particular species is not a climber and there is nothing but substrate.
  • No, these guys are more biters lol.
  • It will but rose hairs are one of those T's that can go a long time without eating. Make sure it has a water dish and feed it if its eating did you just get it also how big is it?
  • Wow that is an awesome pair to have! Do you have video of them?
  • Tarantulas habits varies from species to species. In this case, me and Axisisdnied were talking about a desert dwelling species. From my understanding of what Axsisdnied just said, this T. likes it dry, so every time you transfer this T. into a new tank, where the substrate is still moist after misting, it will instinctively climb up the glass for a dryer perch then it will wait there until the moist surface part of the substrate dries out a little bit. Rain forest Ts wouldn't be doing this.
  • I know that already. What i really mean is, every time i set up a new tank for two of my King Baboon Ts, i always noticed both of them strolling around or even climbing their terrarium wall before they burrow. And sometimes on the next day after transfer after coming home from work, i saw one of em hanging on the top of their terrarium lid and didn't burrow yet just saying..
  • They can be pretty pricey and hard to find. they are very fast can match the speed of an OBT pretty close in my opinion but the ones I've had tend to flee away and stop once they have put some space between you and them.
  • Lol! You're gonna have to switch to feeding them larger prey. My best bet is dubia roaches. I have tons of em in my house. You can also order them online or have a local petshop order em for you and start a colony of your own. No wonder why your tarantula's abdomen hasn't gotten any bigger. Meat content of a cricket isn't compared to a full grown dubia cockroach.
  • They are great T's one of those you just like to have because you don't see them much lol. They stay pretty hidden as deep as they can burrow.
  • I see I was wondering because I have a 3 inch female im selling the one in my New King Babbon Video.
  • Nope you're gonna have to switch to feeding your rose hair dubia roaches instead small crickets. How big is your rose hair?
  • Some can be a bit tempermental at times, mine is but for the most part very relaxed
  • That is true, which is the current name in use is it Citharischius crawshayi or Pelinobius muticus?
  • How big are they?
  • mate, the king baboon has another name now, it's called Pelinobius muticus. Other than that, gorgeous female
  • What a cutie
  • Not sure if they do will have to look that up
  • P. muticus ^^
  • Isn't that too shallow substrate for this species?
  • anyone know whos selling slings of these guys?
  • The tank is still too high! If your tarantula decides to take a stroll, it will always attempt to climb before burrowing. Your tarantula can hurt himself/herself from a fall with a tank wall that high! You should at least put more substrate in for safety sakes. Nice looking T though..
  • Lol yep I dont think I have ever used the handles, every now and then you have to check the top door as well some become really loose.
  • Were are you located at?
  • Yeah shes a cool one too! Remains hidden a lot but its nice to just have her lol.
  • 6 feet is probably too shallow for these guys lol burrowing T's in nature can go very far down, they do good however as long as they can burrow and hide.
  • where do you live?
  • Nice T....I have a King Baboon sling..nice vid.
  • that is definately a female. With this species there is a big variation between male and female.
