The female does not always attempt to the kill the male, it can depend on a number of things, one being if the female is hungry or not, another is the males mating attempt, a 3rd maybe we a greater or less tendency based on type of tarantula, some are known to be more aggressive. So, yeah. Also you are impatient and don't really know exactly what you are doing. So perhaps learn from the TarantulaAddict on his videos how he does things. and you should be using some kind of light scooper or perhaps a fly swatter to nudge them apart if they fight. I dont even own spiders and i know more than you, please do your research. And at least u knew enough to know she would possibly (and did) try to attack him immediately after, so good job on keeping him alive.*
