Wow, your T is beautiful! I have 9 tarantulas and have great respect for them. I dont really handle mine because I'm not too keen on possibally getting bitten, but if they happen to get out somehow or somthing then I do hold them. My Mexican red knee is just starting to get its proper colour (it's still small :) ) .. I can't wait for mine to look like that. Aweome vid :)

Ah I remember my first large spider, a bird eater it was. It was super aggressive and it bit the shit out of me on more than one occasion. ^-^; So I sold it and got a king scorpion instead. So far I've only been stung once and it's essentially like a very painful bee sting.

My female redknee was really docile when i got her but after my stupid brother tried to pick her up and gpt bitten, she is verry shy and flips out if she gets touched , i'm unable to pick her up :( please help...

I can. :) B. Smithi is a very docile species with a mild venom. The venom is equal to a bee venom, which means that it's no danger to humans unless they're allergic to the venom, so if you're allergic to bees, you shouldn't handle your future tarantula, as the venom is similar. I hope it helped.

Slifer9900. Wear gloves that are good to resist the bites. Then get her out daily for about an hour. Let her know its okay she can be picked up again.
