  • the poor little Nemo fish has lost his sweet home :'(
  • Do air plants purify your air? Do they remove the odor coming from your garbage can and rotting fruit?
  • Very wrong advice on watering. Never use tap water on Tillandsias. It might seriously hurt them. Use spring or rain water. I use bottled spring water, and mine grow like crazy. Sort of doubtful about 12 hour soaking, too. They can actually rot from over-soaking. I soak mine for half hour every week, fully submerging them. Although when they bloom, I only submerge their "butts", as putting water on the flower will likely make it to fall off. They need fertilizing, too. I usually do it once a month, using a special epiphytes fertilizer (mine is called "Epiphyte's Delight"). I don't think he mentions drying them out before putting back into a terrarium. Putting soaking wet Tillandsias into a terrarium can also cause rotting. I just leave mine on a counter top for an hour or so.
  • He did say sitting tap water. I guess they have to be put in a place where there is no wind so they don't knock against the wall and each other.

  • Shows how simply it is to make a simple living gift. Not sure 12hrs soaking is correct though. I do a make of 12hrs, but that's Australian Air Plants!

  • I confirm HE IS HOT !!!!
  • Epiphytes do not take their nutrients from the air! They take them from bird poop (usually). For a plant to take nutrients (such as nitrogen), the latter has to be oxidized; a plant can take NO3 or NO2, but not N2 (nitrogen gas).I know the numbers on the formulae should be small, but IDK how to do that on youtube.
  • Plant Assassins :3

  • holas, como se llaman las macetas de cristal? ó donde puedo consegirlas?
  • @zOMGLaserGunzPewPew Thanks for inquiring! It is better for the Tillandsia to have multiple vents in the glass container to create air movement. They are very resilient plants and will probably survive fine with a wide open glass ball. Maybe if you spoil it with a good deep soaking twice a month it will forgive you! Just remember to shake the water out and let it dry outside of the bowl for a few hours before you put it back in... Tillandsia do not like water to collect and stay near their base
  • Thanks for sharing this. (You look a like Hugh Jackman when you smile :).)
  • Can you put the tillandsia just dropped down in a terrarium with plants? I am going to set up my just like yours its beautiful.......Oh I am going to use fishing line on mine to hang up.
