  • 1) The only sites I've buy my Ts from (as it shown in my vids) are from the for sale/trade section of Arachnoboards and tarantulacanada(dot)ca.. Since backwater's a US site, I can't order from them since they won't ship to Canada (I don't live in the US). I've browsed thru their site and the only thing I don't like is they don't give their actual sizes of the T so it's up to you to make sure you email them what is medium-large before buying 2) You can always try and see if he/she accepts it
  • hey jon great vid as always, but was wondering the a versicolor as people say they are hard to raise as slings put me off a abit as this is my next T i would like to know if they adults need a lot of ventilation like the slings? thanks for reading
  • M. balfouri males do have completely blue legs, but is that visible before maturity? Because else it's certainly a female, sexual dimorphism helps. ;-) Sorry about your Sumatran Tiger, that sucks! Nice vid, as usual!
  • Hiya Jon, thank you for adding my vid response above. I have officially been "bitten" and now am obsessed with Ts. If you have a minute, or 59 seconds to be exact lol, will you check out my T question vid. I value your opinion highly, thank you again and keep the great vids coming!! Peace.... SuperMommy227
  • hi jon i purchased my new T today the asian fawn tarantula :D speedy lil things aint they haha
  • Spiders creep me out a little, but you seem like such a friendly person I'm hanging on.
  • my grammostola pulchripes for some reason doesn't want to go in his/her house anymore? he/she is still small, this is my first t and the first week she went into his/her house and she/he even dug a bit and you know and then later on she/he didn't want to go in anymore of course i won't force her/him to, also, i gave him/her a grasshopper but i couldn't find the rest i searched very good and i found nothing but i am kinda affraid my t will get mites :( got any tips and can you please help?
  • 17:55 Has she molted already? She still seems dull in color.
  • My uncle owns a lawn service in Canada as well!
  • ok thanks
  • I hate spiders but I still watched 1/3 and I plan to watch the rest and during the video my arm had some random tingle type thing never had that happen like that
  • When a tarantula is in pre-molt, how long is it away from molting?
  • The cages are cleaned twice a month if need be. Leftovers are rarely seen since I feed them crickets and worms and they're usually good about not leaving left overs. I only had 1 infestation of mites that was recorded on video (see here watch?v=UyoU3IHLjTY) I removed the substrate, washed the enclosure and put a fresh batch of substrate back in
  • premolt possibly
  • awesome video m8 that m.balfouri is always gettin out its enclosure guess it want to be the star of the video lol
  • I was wondering why you feed some of them worms and others crickets....?
  • hey jon, great feeding video as always, i have yet another question....my hysterocrates crassipes made a beautiful intricate burrow around her enclosure, and she molted in it. I can see the molt but im not sure how to get it out. Any suggestions?
  • that can be arranged :)
  • $60? Not bad! with how many specimens you have. As usual, very impressive.
  • Your tarantula at 11:40 reminds me of a Siamese cat with how its colouring is (weird comparison, I know) Very beautiful. I am horrified of spiders but you sir own some very beautiful species.
  • I want a p metallica so bad, so pretty!
  • A.avicularia. G.pulchripes is also a visible tarantula but its temperament is far too unpredictable to recommend as handleable.
  • $60
  • Wasn't aware! Very nice ;)
  • Watches 1:36 then subscribes!
  • Paddy, i got these shelves from Costco a couple of years ago. They are made by Whalen Storage and the model # is WS1648ZL
  • 37 min of feeding spiders .... dayum :D
  • big spiders like this scare the hell out of me
  • Mites WILL kill your Ts, which is why I had to throw the substrate out, wash the enclosure and put a fresh batch in.
  • take tongs or just wait, the T WILL move it out
  • thanks
  • I've heard good reviews and bad reviews of the site tho, and my juvenile G.rosea made 2 weird lumps of soil and gets sort of mad when i gently touch it with my own paintbrush
  • Nevermind.
  • Thank you so much for sharing me your knowledge.
  • hey jon, i have an 1/2 inch sling LP. How big do you think it will be around september-october?
  • he he at 12:10 she just went out for a little stroll, to get some fresh air :P
  • ya they're burrowers. I dug her out to make sure she was alive
  • Great vid. Awesome collection.
  • Awesome Ts and Maggie is so cute! Nice tricks too!
  • Bet you can't wait for that Lampropelma violaceopes to get it's full colouration!
  • I have a high preference for pokies.
  • this video should be more than helpful. watch?v=p2Id1kdI5Ro
  • sweet :)
  • Imagine* Jons door swings shut, creating a loud slam. In panic he tries to pry the door open and when that fails he results to smashing it down like a police officer getting into a criminals house! He runs as fast as possible and hits the door making him bounce off and knocking over all of the cages, releasing all his tarantulas. what happens next?
  • oops thanks man
  • it depends what you're looking for in a species.. C.cyaneopubescens has the advantages of being easier to care for, and a nice terrestrial species that webs heavily and gets about 6'''. On the other hand, you have A.metallica, which is a great handleable arboreal and may not be easy to care for unless it's a juvenile/adult
  • are B. emilia's good starter tarantulas?? i've been thinking of getting one, but i'm not sure if there good starters. I do help with my friends tarantulas though, so i have some basic info.
  • This is so cool! You have such an amazing collection! I think this is encouraging me to get a tarantula! Have you ever been bitten by any? I'm not very familiar with tarantulas so I am not sure if any are actually poisonous. By the way, sorry for your loss :(
