  • Those videos are great. The overall best ASOIAF theory videos i've found so far.
  • Tower of Joy?Everyone knows there were some sexy shenanigans going on there involving a emo Prince and a teenaged girl suffering from Stockholm syndrome.
  • 1:30 "Strong Belwas at the entire bowl and didn't die."But he got *very* sick. I don't think the fact he survived overall indicates poison weakness so much as Belwas strongness. For all we know Belwas is Strong enough to (barely) survive enough of that poison to kill several "Little Queens."
  • Belwas being the probable target of the poisoning is partly why I anticipate that, on the TV show, Daario will be the one to eat the locusts and nearly die. He was the man who fought in the duel outside the Walls of the city before Dany's invasion.I also believe that the poison works in the interest of the slavers by not only possibly killing off a man who shamed House Pahl but also by offering a means of framing Hizdhar and creating instability within Meereen.
  • I think sansa is dany and cersei is sansa and dany is melisandre and melisandre is sandor clegane and sandor is gendry and gendry is renly and renly is robert. Whoa did u read the last part?
  • I think the green grace is the harpy. Remember when daenerys took hostages and the killings briefly stopped, the killings only started again when dany admitted to the GG that she wasn't going to kill the kids. Also like you said she most likely ordered the killings to stop as she was the one to arrange the marriage. And one more thing, the harpy's a women. Not a man. I mean the actual statue
  • Hmm, I don't know if I can agree with most of this. Especially the Belwas-poisoning bit. If they wanted him dead, they could choose a hundred different places and methods. Seems like a lot of pomp and preparation for such a weak pay off that didn't even work. Though I do agree the Green Grace is pretty much the only person with real power in Meereen. In fact I'd even go as far as to say she herself is the Harpy. If you re-read Dance with that in mind, everything that happens makes much more sense.
  • I THINK MANCE RAYDER IS SECRETLY RHARGAR TARGARYEN. THOUGHTS?
  • If even half of the theories, conspiracies, and plots that people are talking about in ASoIaF are true, I think we can forgive Martin for taking his time.
  • Nice theory. Here is mine. The locusts were not meant as a mortal poison but as an abortifacient planted by the green grace.Everyone in the box was supposed to eat a handful, everyone gets sick (oh no! a mild case of food poisoning! Better kill the cooks.) but no lasting harm is done EXCEPT to Daarios bastard child. The green grace wants a harpy dragon hybrid on the throne but thats not gonna happen if Dany pops out someone elses bastard. Prior to the wedding there was a ritual requested where the women of the grooms family examine the bride to be, presumably to make sure she isn't poxy or pregnant. Dany refuses utterly. The green grace has children of her family (spies) as Danys servants and they would undoubtedly be privy to her menstrual cycle, or lack there of in Danys case. The little sneaks report to granny that Dany, who by her own admission can't remember her last period, is most likely knocked up confirming her suspicions. Later Dany miscarries on the Dothraki sea after eating berries.
  • I'm glad I discovered your channel! I'm such a nerd for trivia and theories in ASOIAF series and have probably devoted more time and thought necessary to wondering "what's really going on". I appreciate your opinions and the research you apply to your uploads and - honestly - I wasn't even wondering about half of this until you mentioned it, which makes me want to see what else you've picked up on! Also your willingness to admit "I may be wrong about half of this" makes me REALLY prefer your listening to your opinions in fandom. You're not smug, you admit a potential fallacy but you make a compelling argument and that's something to consider as well as respect. Thanks so much for keeping us GRRM fans on our toes :D
  • Why is red team review getting hated on so mich in the comment section? It just ruins it for the person this video is...
  • The shavepate is a warlock in disguise and the leader of the sons of the harpy.Nuff said!
  • Honeyed Locusts might be your best work , Ser . Pink Letter and Littlefinger are strong also.
  • Dude, thank you for putting stuff up i've been reading up on forums here and there for a long time. Its great finding all of it in one place! Though i would disagree with you calling John Snow a complete idiot in the first video, as with the info he had access to, his actions make quite a bit of sense ( and with his overall lack of manpower). Oh yeah, if you happen to be reading this, i'm currently rereading the books in no particular order, looking for things i missed before and if you need help with citations from the books, feel free to contact me.
  • nah i tink its more likely that the locusts were indent to make daenerys weak and bed ridden so hizdahr wud hav a better chance at ruling
  • She-will-take-the-khallissar-to-mereen!Dany-loved-honeyed-locusts.Belwass-was-huge-and-Hizdar-wanted-the-crown.He-also-paid-for-everything-in-his-box-the-confectioner-confessed-that-the-locusts-were-poisoned.Hizdar-was-the-Harpy!!The-green-grace-i-never-trusted-her-she-is-on-the-side-of-the-yunkish&the-Giscari!Hizdar-wanted-to=kill=Drogon!!He-also-urged-Dany-to-eat-the-locuts-more-than-once-while-he-never-touched-one!GUILTY!Drogon-came-t0-rescue-Dany!I-never-trusted-the-green-grace
  • Do you ever read books for enjoyment, or do you always read them for fictional scientific research? Great video though.
  • Array
  • Yay something i actually thought of, i'm not so stupid after all...
  • Amazing Vid!!!
  • Hizdahr hates spicy foods, but love peppers?
  • The pale mare is disease... like disintery
  • "Who hates strong Belwas?"Well the producers of the show apparently
  • The Green Grace theory doesn't really hold together. Why? Because Hizdar and the Green Grace don't need to keep her influence secret. If this was really their plan, why not just go to Dany and lay the whole thing out? The Green Grace has massive superstitious influence over the people of Meereen. She wants a voice in a power sharing government in exchange for help keeping the peace. She wants that place to take the form of a power marriage with Hizdar. She could have made this demand openly, and Dany most likely would have accepted. Her real motivation may be to force a marriage that bears offspring that is her real goal. But that's the only piece that she doesn't have to tell Dany. Or actually, she could have told Dany that too, and Dany still would have been crazy to refuse. She doesn't want to bring back slavery. She doesn't want to depose Dany. She actually wants to cement Dany's rule, as long as she gets to be part of it. So why hide her influence? It only serves to makes Dany and her counselors understandably suspicious of Hizdar's ability to stop the murders. Since Dany is willing to marry into a power sharing arrangement anyway, laying the source of his influence on the table would just serve to strengthen the alliance. It would remove unnecessary suspicion and dissolve the unstable situation of any major violence causing a fracture within the government. So I have to disagree with the center of your theory here. There is either something deeper going on that requires secrecy for some reason, or there is something else entirely going on.
  • Preston, will you feel disapointed with GRRM if it turns out the poison was intended for Dany (somehow empirically proven)?
  • Man whats your fuckinh IQ you are a fucking genius
  • I really like your work! Nicely made videos. =) I don't agree with the whole theory but I appreciate all of the thought that went behind and I definitively think the green grace is plotting with Hizdar and I liked the locus analysis too.! Keep up the great work! and thanks for sharing with other passionate ASOIAF fans
  • Tower of joy continued...The best place to hide such a notorious item would be in the, oddly out of place, only female tomb in the winterfell crypts. The one place Robert would never defile. Also why would Ned take Arthur Daynes sword all the way to The Daynes household after the tower of Joy. And why would they accept him after he murdered Arthur Dayne, the sword of the morning,? And also name a future child after him Eddard ' Ned' Dayne? Well if Eddard brought news that Arthur was safe and going to The neck to hide amongst the crannogman with Ashara Dayne and Howland reed... In a floating city no one can find unless they want you to find them. Also there is a quote from the reeds whilst talking to Bran, where Bran asks if the Neck has knights. They tell him that there are no knights above the water, but the each is full of dead ones. Arthur Dayne is assumed to be Dead.. Therefore he survived the TOJ and is a dead night in the bogs of the crannogman.
  • Finally a GoT uploader worth following, i swear you will make millions doing this if anyone can, quit your job and upload like mad lol
  • Great stuff man. Amazing research. I have some thoughts on the Tower of Joy and can't wait for your look at it.
  • First off, NICE JOB! I really enjoyed the the Dornish master plan as well as the pink letter videos. I always subscribed to Mance as the writer, but I never considered Doran to be that great of of a player. You have me bought in.However I don't subscribe to this one, only because I've read an essay that I believe makes more sense. To sum it up it says the shavepate is the one who poisoned the locusts. It might be worth a look if you haven't heard of it already. http://meereeneseblot.wordpress.com/2013/09/27/untangling-the-meereenese-knot-part-i-who-poisoned-the-locusts/
  • I think you're onto something with the pink letter, but I'm not buying this one, not enough there
  • dude your videos are great. when will you release the tower of joy one?
  • why didnt belwas die from the locusts?
  • Great video but I think it would help if you slowed down a little bit.
  • I suspect somehow Hizdhar was involved. Or atleast he knew who poisoned the locusts. The reason, the three dots everytime he answers a question"That … that was the Dornishman."“I … hot spices do not agree with me."
  • you sir are amazing
  • Yes, the Green Grace is almost certainly playing Dany, and is the titular Harpy at the head of the movement against her using Hizdahr as a pawn, but come on - did you really need to spin such a ridiculous narrative to prove this? Why choose a public location? Because they want a public spectacle! They're planning a violent coup, not a careful, covert plot to depose a ruler quietly. They want everybody to see that she's dead.Weak poison? Nonsense. Strong Belwas is - you guessed it- pretty strong. There's nothing to indicate that even a single locust would be insufficient to off Dany.Freedmen are being killed because they're stealing jobs, not because they're loyal to Dany? Unsullied are being killed because they're sexually offending someone, not because they're loyal to Dany? Belwas was supposed to be poisoned? By House Pahl?! Honey trail left for Drogon to follow? I... this... Words fail me.
  • When will you update again, Preston?
  • Very interesting and well thought out. The one thing I still don't understand is why would the House of Pahl benefit from bringing Drogon to the pit? The feeding him pork theory might have some weight to it, but the only connection between him showing up at the pit and the poisoned locusts is that the Pale Mare comes on a horse stained in the colors of the House of Pahl, and the man saying it is burning, which seems flimsy. Perhaps they were trying to capture him and/or kill him (Dany did have a lot of their house killed), and him showing up at the pit was unrelated. After all, it seems natural that he would show up at the pit to take Dany away in her time of most distress. Analyzing the overall arch of Dany, we see her become more and more upset about the compromises she has to make to keep peace, and the fighting pit just enrages her, so Drogon swoops in to take her away.
  • Regardless of all the theorizing about the sons of the harpy, Hizdahr has motivation to kill Dany: He becomes king.
  • If Dany ventures to Asshai what do you think she will find there? Quaithe said "truth" but what could that mean?
  • Love the videos!!!!! Thoughts on the hooded man in winter fell?
  • You have done an incredible work. I don't have anything else to say.
  • +RedTeamReviewhow? wasn't mance a freefolk child raised in the Watch, became a Crow, then turned his cloak?
  • It's going to be quite funny when all of your theories are wrong.
