The large ventilation area makes it difficult to have higher humidity.
i recently got a 36x18x12 for my future bearded dragon . Its going to be awesome.
They brake all the time. No good for any customer.

Exo Terra terrariums are excellent. However, the Exo Terra terrarium STANDS are absolutely horrible, especially for the price. Make sure you check the stands out (fully assembled) IN PERSON before you buy one. I do love my Exo Terra terrarium though & highly reccomend them.

Almost Perfect -- the frame of the top is plastic so if you have desert animals you have to be very careful with your heat lamps -- the plastic frame on ours melted and could have resulted in a fire if we hadn't caught it.
Where on the internet do I have to go to find the prices of these things!? I see great advertising, talk of "high" prices, and I've even been to their webpage, but I have seen *nothing* on the actual prices. It is so frustrating. Could somebody please help? I have a baby iguana and he's growing like California giant kelp. I am a touch pressed for funds but will do anything for my little Madesi. I want to know how much a more vertical one would cost. Does US $249.99 sound right for a large vertical one?
Which would be better? The Exo Terra 12x18 or the Zoo Med one in the same size? I'm looking at getting a crested gecko, and zoo med has a CrG starter kit in the 18x24 size. I have seen the ET one in person though, I just was curious to how they compared.

The mesh rusts on the top. Its meant to be stainless steal. For the price you pay you would expect better. But the rest isnt to bad. 3.5/5.

How can I purchase straight from Exo-Terra? My petshop can't get 36*18*18 for some reason. All they can get is 36*18*24 And that's just far too tall for my Beardie.

24" tall isnt actually too tall for a bearded dragon since alot of people say they need a viv/tank thats 24" tall

They are beauties, but faulty, and neither Hagen nor supplier would help. Wasted £150...
It's too tall for me. Otherwise I would have heating problems and would need stronger bulbs.

I got my EXO terra for like $100 less cuz i ordered it from my local pet shop and they buy in bulk so it worked out great for me

I like these but seriosly, water proof? if used with a fogger the top mesh soon looks like someone took a dump on it.
A snake still requires a heat lamp depending what species, some species only need a heating pad

i have one of the long exoterre tank, it works great, ihave gotten my snake yet, but i will be getting it today. but i think that little water area was pretty cool. to bad it would create to much humidty for the corn snake im getting.
