In the 2nd season trailer for a T.V. show called Billy the Exterminator, Billy is covered in huge cockroaches, and when he smiles, one comes out of his mouth. No to give you any ideas or anything.....
At 2:00 you can see his tibial hooks. They are on the front two legs (underneath them). Mature males get them on their last molt. They use them during mating to grab onto their lady. The hooks actually hook to her fangs, helping the two tarantulas get together and helping him not get eaten before mating.
