You're simple minded if you think that's immoral simply because the mouse is more cute and cuddly looking. We are all on this planet together. That's the circle of life. Some animals eat plants, some animals eat other animals (like tarantulas or humans). Who's to say the mouse has more of a right to live than the tarantula? I should feed her crickets instead? Who's to say sacrificing a cricket is any better than sacrificing a mouse? Well don't let me catch you eating bacon or a steak.
I'm genuinely concerned that people think feeding animals to other animals is somehow less moral than cat or dog food. Cat and dog food both have meat in them. Where do you think that meat comes from? Where do your own fillet minions come from? Processed and store-bought meat all have way more cruelty involved in their production than letting a spider eat a live mouse as it would in the wild.

I don't think id ever feed my rose hair a mouse, I might give my Acanthoscurria Geniculata (Brazilian Giant White Knee Bird Eater) a couple though I heard its healthy for them but im gonna look into it a bit more. Nice strike and nice looking Rose Hair Though :)

As a hobbyist T keeper for many years I have never seen or heard of any benefits of feeding anything other than crickets,mealworm etc. And way to go to raise a f***ed up kid who learns violence is a form of entertainment. yes, nature is cruel. But nature didn't throw the mouse in. (Or was that threw 'the let go of me asshole' in the cage). Who's the asshole? When your kid starts setting fire to kittens remember where he got it from.

How often do you feed mice? I have heard that to many mice can lead to problems with molting due to high calcium.
although i have no intention of doing so,i live in the UK where it is illegal to feed live vertebrates to other animals,i've kept tarantulas for 25 years and they have always been contented with crickets and locusts,also to let your child do it is teaching them disrespect for both the animlas in question as one day your spider may not be the victor.when you were a child did you pull the wings off butterflies.?
