  • It's ironic that in referencing Dostoyevsky's The Brothers Karamazov, Staps is actually quoting a work that was written to portray the POSITIVE and negative effects of Christianity. In fact, Dostoyevsky once stated his firm belief that "there is nothing lovelier, deeper, more sympathetic, more rational, more manly and more perfect than the Savior;...If anyone could prove to me that Christ is outside the truth, and if the truth really did exclude Christ, I should prefer to stay with Christ and not the truth." I mean really, compared to the rest of the book, The Grand Inquisitor book is not that big. Besides, Ivan, one of the only characters that expresses atheist belief, aside from Pyotr Alexandrovich Miusov, who is portrayed as a stubborn, shallow fool eventually comes around to Christianity. And this album, in which the lyrics do nothing except criticize Christianity, cites his work for three out of ten songs. Ironic, indeed... as a fellow atheist I think Mr. Staps needs to do a bit more research when writing his lyrics.
  • Just goes to show you, you CAN mix growls and clean vocals and still sound fucking awesome!
  • So Fuckin Awesome
  • Gojira!
  • who are some bands that are similar to this that I would like? I just recently got into this band thru their latest record Pelagial and I'm really digging it. I own music from bands like BTBAM, Meshuggah, Tesseract etc, but i feel like i'm missing out on others.
  • I can't find a Facebook for them :0
  • Aeolian
  • The best chorus that i heard in a long, long time...

  • Dream Theater on bad crack. Don't know if I like it or not
  • They do both have a groove and progressive aspect, but I dont see any similarity in riffs or vocals. But a tour between the two would be unmissable

  • this is amazing .
  • been a fan for a long time - show this video to other friends - they look at me funny now - fuck them
  • Like this band but I dont like that bands have religious messiges in the text. Its easyer to enjoy the the music if you dont sing about love god/hate god or sing about dont beleave in god etc.
  • nice
  • They're extremely amazing ! I can feel the energy running through my body every time i listen their music !
  • It's like Meshuggah with choruses...
  • cool but nothing special really.
  • The entire genre of post metal if you want stuff like The Ocean. Sit in a dark room and listen to Through Silver in Blood by Neurosis. Panopticon by Isis could also be a fun starting point.
  • It may be easier, but whats the point if you aren't challenging yourself. While there is still people who masturbate over ancient pieces of bullshit scripture, there will be music for and against it. If you believe, then question what you believe. There is no harm in opening your mind to philosophy, these things have to be discussed
  • best. fucking. song. (in my opinion)
  • they must have a place on your MP3....guy listen also firmament it's fantastic
  • You are right
  • A girl told me about them, and how she got to see them.not regretting.
