• one thing to all you new T owners do not put a SPONGE in your water dish. if someone tells you this don't listen trust me they can drink out of the water dish just fine without it.

• Ok, seriously... sponge is one of worst things to use for tarantula drinking solution. Also I,m 99% sure and would say one shown in video is not G.rosea (aka rcf rose) but a G.porteri (aka tcf rose). These are 2 different spiders. I never understood how they both got labeled same. True rose is much less friendly then porteri also.

• Everything was good about the video until he said "from Central America". That would be South America. Southest America in fact (along with Argentina).

• I got my first spider about two months ago. Today, I decided to watch some videos on tarantulas and this is the second video I got to. To my surprise, this is the owner of the pet shop I got her from!!

• Putting a sponge in the water dish is a stupid idea. It's a good place for bacteria to build and this is dangerous for the tarantula. 
• Grammostola Rosea is unpredictable. If you going to buy one for your first time, pray to god you got the docile specimen. lol. They are more to mood type of T's. Same goes for G. Pulchripes.

• If you live in a Northern State, Michigan, Where the room temperature is in the low 70s or high 60s, will they be fine or should there be a heat source? I know my dad can get crazy with the air conditioning at times and got it to 60 degrees once...... Also we lost power in the winter once and it got to low 50's....So what would my backup heatsource be for them?
• I used to have a rose hair and agree, they can be a bit stubborn about eating sometimes. Overall though, a very low maintenance pet, very interesting, and very gentle.

• She's a beauty. I have a 4 year old female rosie and I love her to bits. I am slightly sceptical about the handling of rose hairs as they can sometimes be a little tempermental so I've been told. If anyone is looking for a friendly tarantula apart from a rose hair, the mexican red knee is also top of the list for beginners.
