  • You people are idiots... It's a tarantula not a fucking dog or a cat. It doesn't have a concept of becoming aggressive because of unfair treatment. All it knows is eat, drink, mate, survive. This guy is doing nothing wrong. He unfortunately came across a nasty rose hairand all he is doing is showing how aggresive she is. Some are absolutely chill as fuck, and some are just assholes. It's rare but it happens. Mine for instance is neither. She's a pussy. She isn't aggressive but any time she's out and about and there is a slight disturbance she runs right to her burrow. It all depends on the specimen
  • Are you sure your rosy is not part OBT? Ha ha. She is mean.Oh well, still love GBB's the best.
  • Lol why so many dislikes?
  • I'm considering the hobby and I appreciate this information, especially since so many list this as a good beginner T.
  • 1:22 what bug is that please let me know?
  • geeze. my rose haired NEVER bit anyone/anything. she was shy/sweet.
  • If this is considered an evil tarantula then you are a pussy
  • I have a weird urge to just squash that spider!!!
  • She's malnourished and starving. No wonder she is acting that way. You feeding her every two to three days?
  • Are you sure that things a rosehair?! Rosehairs are supposed to be sweet XD
  • I think she's hungry, thats why shes acting like that.
  • Mines like that
  • she looks pissed lol
  • I want one.
  • Stop teasing it then. Leave it the fuck alone and feed it. You obviously did something to hurt it and now it hates you. They only bite as a last resort.
  • goregus spider
  • kill that shit before escapes
  • That's the first time I have ever seen a tarantula act like that. Could be schizoid.
  • Pick up the phone your moms calling
  • you're being fucking cruel to it. I have one, and she's sweet because I'm not an asshole to her. >______> a spider is like everything else on this earth. it just wants to be loved & cared for. UGH im so irritated. you are the reason people are so afraid of these lovely creatures.
  • He's not being cruel to it. I've read enough about this particular species to know that not all Ts from this species behave the same. Roseas might be classified under beginner species but not all roseas are the same. The one i have is happily fed but is aggressive as hell, attacking anything that moves. You can't say that she's being starved, jeez. I've never bothered picking mine up. Rose hair in the video is just like mine, but i'd never use something hard that could damage her fangs. You can clearly see her applying force onto the hard steel. Cheers, great T
  • Chilean rose hairs are the most docile one's anyone can buy. And this wasn't isn't pissed off, it's just insanely hunger. Normally when a tarantula is aggregated defensive they will first rear up and show their fangs and extend their front legs, and the bite is swift. This dude needs to feed is spider more.
  • you can tell the lack of nourishment for this guy, look at he abdomen, see the slight curved indentation on the top, that shouldn't be there unless thirst or hunger is an issue, I don't blame the spider, id bite this dude too-also keep in mind, when a statement is made of a breed's (or species') temperament, it is an IN GENERAL statement.. just the same as "cats don't seek your attention" or "dogs chase cats"
  • man you said a bite so I didnt see a bite really
  • Holy shit dude, feed your fucking spider.
  • Is there any pet spider that doesn't bite and you can also find it in your house
  • Mine does the same, thing :/ I, wish it didn't.
  • hey if someone brakes in your house "eat bitch spider"
  • why is it like that as these are not a horrible spider at all unless they have to be?
  • Ha. Chile needs to go to anger management.
  • Dude Mine is lazy. Yours is bad ass. Judith is the most calm tarantula ever.
  • yes POISON i got MaliceAndre (my rose hair name lol) on may 1st shortly after my last comment. She is AwEEsome and lovely. she is very well mannered and sometimes instinctively crawls up the glass when i slide open the doors. She sometimes polishes her fangs while looking at me sometimes through the glass which is a bit unnerving .. I still have a profound respect for her because the way those fangs rip through cricket bodies is something I keep in mind everytime I handle her. She welcomes gentle strokes from a pencil sometimes...I even got her a roomate, Esmerelda (black widow) in a bottle adjacent to her cage.. Long LIVE MALICEANDRE the red queen of Lys, the first of her name, mother of Poison and the first men.....
  • Mabye if you stopped touching he/she with a knife it would like you more.
  • The abdomen looks skinny, so she's probably hungry.
  • haha EEEEEEEEEEEEVEL
  • It was starving! They're fine
  • my rose hair is nice you must be messing with her or pissing her off i dont mess with mine i let mine be and feed her i just had to change her tank and move her to other and she never was mean or anything at all i would love to have her crawl on me but i dont mess with her i dont want bit but if i want her to crawl on me she would more likly not bit me beacuse i dont make her mad or anything ..............................
  • I think some people are overreacting to this video, I mean I've seen less healthy Rosie's than this, you never know... This guy could of only had that tarantula for a short time before he uploaded the video, it may have been the shop/previous owners that kept it underfed, as for using the tweezers to test temperament, that could if been the only times he's tried that ... I doubt he just pokes it with the tweezers for fun, this Rosie might be nice and chunky by now if the guy is feeding it properly (if it's still alive considering this video was from 09) :)
  • Your Rose Hair is not evil, just HUNGRY. Try upping the feeding times.
  • Have you tried feeding it? Maybe it's just hungry.
  • Wow, this one is one in a million. I have never seen one so aggressive. I never thought a rose hair could be that scary.
  • Looks Like A Male
  • So the tarantula was starving so it should be fed more often. I'm ok with that. I can't help but feel for the moth that was sacrificed however. I mean... it was stuck helplessly between tweezers until the spider grabbed it. I guess I would never be able to own an animal that eat insects or critters because I couldn't be able to feed it what it needs (e.g. snake and mouse, lizard and... crickets?). I mean I feel it's just wrong to keep these animals as pets because because we are playing with nature. In the wild, the strongest or most clever will win, but both stand a chance. It's not the case here. I guess I'll just stick to horses, dog, cats and birds...! : /
  • I love it when people say that feeding an animal by holding the "bait" (whatever it may be) in tweezers or in such a way that it has so means to defend itself or be given a fighting chance. Let me ask those people this, Do you feel the same way when your'e swallowing your Double Cheeseburger? I mean that cow was forced into a factory, butchered and packaged into beef patties but that doesn't seem anything like this right? It's the same concept, you just turn a blind eye to things you don't want to see.You don't like to see starving people? Well, I don't like to see anything starve.
  • what dose it fell like when they bite
  • Bro, don't give it the tongs to bite, that will damage its fangs and eventually kill it. Use a soft paintbrush. Also, don't judge the species for one spiders temper. Some tarantulas aren't ment to be held/messed with in any way.
  • My L5 A. geniculata was like that, now she's only flicky, not attacking anymore whitout reason.
  • WHY ARE YOU EVEN USING A BUTTER KNIFE ON THE SPIDER WTF. The rosehair tarantulas.rarely bite unless.provoken to a far exent... give that tarantula to a more fit owner
