That's a good idea, I'm sure they would love it.
yeah according to the nursery people where I acquire them, driftwood are good place to put tillandsia or as long as there is proper air circulation
Those look really nice. I have one of those in growing in a seashell. I didn't really research how to take care of it but it gets good light good airflow and i mist it every few days so I guess that's good enough. I see a lot of varieties of these sold at Art & Wine festivals, and I've seen them interlocking one above the other in long chains of those glass orbs. A relative of mine has a huge Tillandsia in their kitchen window.
I have T.stricta and T. Bulbosa and I put them in a driftwood :)
Nice, I just picked one up (bulbosa) and it looks like it will flower shorty. Very fun to have around the house
Thank you for the quick reply!
Thanks :)
Ohhh that would be pretty... i also like the tear drop shape! i might go and buy more today. perhaps i will make a video of me putting one together :)
SURE SURE Brad... rub the salt in my wounds...lol. i think there is a small area a few hours from my home thats eather a zone 8 or 9 maybe i will move there at some point..lol.. It's the most southern tip of ontario :) I'll look it up on the USDA map..
Yes they are :)
I love the bulbosa species of Tillandsia.
To be honest i'm only in that living room 10 % of the time... mostly it's to just pass through..lol.. i will need to put something in my calander to remember to mist them.. i usually dunk them in the aquarium... i'll figure something out :) I might put them outside over the summer... so i can zap them with the hose :)
a bigger variety

I will need to check that out :)
sure it is. it's a slow process. you can propagate them from division and seed. but they are slow to divide
What an interresting idea! i think it would be ok. just watch them closely for a few weeks to make sure their doing ok :)

Beautiful! I saw these online in a pear shape also! :) -The Organic Boy

most reputable garden centers should have some. i have also seen lots online.
Can I place my air plants on water gels?
