• My *sincerest* apologies-- that 100+db baritone shriek you just heard was *me.* My ever-mischievous cat, Ash, just pulled the classic Kitty Goof of letting me get myself well and truly creeped out -- *again*-- by avidly watching any and all creepy-crawly docu I find ... and then just casually, and covertly, reaching over with a paw to *tap* me-- *and it's straight through the ceiling.* The not-really-accidental flippy-tip tail brush on the leg also works sure-fire amusing wonders.*Every* cat that I've ever had the joy of living with always seemed to sense that I was creeped out, and wound up tightly by something I was watching ... and just *couldn't* resist just so simply setting me off with typically minimalist cat-effort, lol. I wonder if other cat "ownee's" have had similar experiences ... =^..^=

• Spiders are taxonomically divided into 3 groups: Araneomorphae, Mesothelae and Mygalomorphae.Tarantulas are Mygalomorphs, like funnel-web spiders. They have sturdy bodies and "fangs" that move up and down (unlike Araneomorphs, whose "fangs" move from side to side). Although tarantulas have been abundant for many millions of years, they are not considered to be "primitive spiders".
