You need to make sure there is somewhere for him to hide. They like to catch their prey then find a safe place to eat it - that's why he was running around after catching the mealworm.

You should put a hide inside you box, that's why he was rushing around with the worm in his mouth l he was looking for a hidden place to eat

my samarae tarantula don't eat well i need to cut the blatta lateralis then wait for a day to finish his meal but somtimes he don't eat what i gave him he will eat after 3days or 2 then just eat few of the cocroach body :(
is it ok to feed crickets to him if he's about or smaller than this size?
