You can't really blame women. Women are raised up in a materialistic society in America. Also they have education and career opportunities in america that other countries cant offer. It doesnt matter the race,religion,etc. If you go to Brazil to marry a woman,then bring her back here,she will adapt to the western society that turn her into the type of woman that you are trying to run away from.
I think if this documentary was talking about black dudes going down to Brazil to seek lasting relationships with Brazilian women (i.e. dating that leads to marriage), then I would understand. But it seems that these guys are talking about finding women to have a good time with - i.e. prostitutes. If it's all about prostitution and money at the end of the day, then it is hard to support the idea of going down to Brazil in much the same way that you cannot support what goes on in Thailand. However, the Brazilian woman who explained how families there are close-knit is more on point because she elaborated on how the man is viewed as the head of the home. So if you are going to Brazil to find a woman like her, then yes, that's fine. But if you are just going there to sleep and club and hit the beach with these chicks for a few days and then come back to the US, I'm sorry but that is simply "Prostitution Tourism". It's a playa's ballroom -- and you really can't support that if you are a level-headed person. Yes, it if fun for the man, but it ruins the life of the woman since she is with you this week, and 51 other guys for the rest of the year. You are having your fun but it is doing nothing for her except destroying her soul.Yes, there are major relationship issues between men and women today but prostitution is certainly not the answer. However, learning from elders and from other cultures is helpful. God is also very important in marriages since marriage is not just about the initial flame that you feel between you. It is about the long journey that you walk together, the kids you raise, the friends you make, the places you go and the things you learn.

By the time the 1970's hit us we were already seeing a slow deterioration in black neighborhoods because the black man & woman were headed in a different direction; where we once were on the same page and headed in the same direction.why is it so hard for a woman to do what men did when we were in the position of breadwinner/suitor.Had a car to pick you up when u had no car, paid for this or thaton the regular because you didn't have that much money etc. etc. try asking most black women to do that today and duck quickly when you do. I have heard so many misogynistic statements in this documentary. Many men are treated the way they treat their women. Some of these men want a servant, someone to praise them...it's a shame.
I have a question. Is this just limited to black people? Is not the over all attitude of Western women becoming just a little bit unrealistic ? A recent survey found that American women consider a little over 80% of all men on a very popular dating site to be below average and not good enough for them. There is a war on being male in our society. It is every where. Look at the current rape witch hunts going on at universities in the US and Canada. If a man and a women are both intoxicated and have sex. The man alone can be held accountable for sexual assault. Look at the way men and fathers are portrayed in the media. We are all bumblers who can't do anything right without a woman's guidance. Look at schools. So many young boys drugged. They want them to act like girls. boys are doing more poorly every year. Reading in particular. Take a look at what they want boys to be interested in. Look at the things they want them to write. If you go south or east from our country the attitude towards men changes dramatically. The behavior as well. Go to a club notice the women acting like ladies. No loud profane behavior. Women in authority also have no need to bust balls and show who is in charge. Take a look at some of the stuff even on youtube about why men are opting out of everything. I think that because of our society it is just more advanced and pronounced for black men. I think that the rest of us will catch up soon. It will soon be American men of all colors will want nothing to do with American women if they have any choice at all. As for men not taking care of our children until we have reproductive rights too,and we are merely a source of income. Get used to it. As long as we are looked at as nothing more than a source of income with limited rights to be engaged with our kids it will stay the same. How many men do you know that try to be fathers and must fight the mother and a court system that allows women to disobey court orders with no consequences ? as an afro brazilian man I find the documentary and most of these comments to be highly ignorant. sexism/racism/xenophobia, my goodness, I just can't comment on that, this is crazy. I'm just going to say that there are, in fact, women in Brazil who do play the role of "house wife", ie; clean the house, make the food, "take care of the man" etc, but this is NOT women in general, most women nowadays are much more independent and society has changed quite a bit that they don't play that role anymore, and good for them, and good for society. I'm out.
WOW, i have a high school education. i have never had a problem dealing with people of any education level who i could not hold my own with in a conversation on virtually any topic.for the most smart i have been on a higher plane then most of them intellectually; but more importantly socially speaking in terms of my demonstrable understanding of the more important issues humans face and deal with on a day to day basis,admittedly i know i am the exception more than i am the norm,. still i don't get why the analogy of the man & woman's relationship is not dealt with before the idea of a black man supposedly not being able to compete or catch up to black women.

Most of you profess to want respect to be given freely from Black women but fail to give it in this most public of places.I believe that love should be given and received wherever it is found. However I would never belittle Black American men in general because I found love or companionship in another country. I just would not do it. For sure, Black men need to move on and seek companionship outside of America.
